An adult is a human being or any other animal that has attained complete growth.The biological definition of the word means animals that have reached sexual maturity, and therefore capable of reproduction. The human world of adult refers to social and legal concepts. Contrary to the term "minor" or "non-adult", a legal-age adult is a person who has achieved the age of majority. They are thought to be competent, responsible and independent. An adult who is legally mature can be described as a major. The typical age of attaining the legal age of adulthood is 18 although definition may vary by the legal rights of the country, and psychological development.

When it comes to the life span of human beings Adulthood refers to the point at which he or she attains full intellectual and physical maturation. Adulthood, as it is generally understood, begins at the age of around 20 or 21. It is generally believed that middle age starts at 40 or so years old, then it will be around 60. As we grow older, there are three distinct stages: Early adulthood (18-30 years) middle adulthood (30-60 year olds) and late adulthood (60%-60 60%). At the beginning phases of adulthood (between 20-40) then our bodies have reached full maturation although our height and weight might increase a bit. Our physical capabilities are peaking at the age of young adulthood. This includes muscle strength in addition to reflex time, the sensitivities, and functioning of the heart.
