She is a famous American singer and actress. Most famously, she is known for playing Tiana Disney's first African-American princess as she appeared in The Princess and the Frog (2009). In 2011 she was honored as an official Disney Legend. She was also recognized by her part as a character in Dreamgirls (2006), which earned an Academy Award for Best Picture.
