Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for starting the modern research into the study of eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in lawful circumstances. Prof. Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and been recognized with numerous national and international prizes. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the globe regarding policy and research on children's victimization within the court system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice.
